A metro police officer was responding to a call and found Echo shivering next to his homeless “owner.” Each without food, shelter or life necessities, his owner was arrested, and the Metro Police Officer did not want to take Echo to Lied where he knew he would be killed as he was sickly and spent. He heard about HCWS and placed the call that saved Echo’s life. Not so far away, little Isabella was tied to a post in a city park where teens had repeatedly used her as a paint ball target. Covered in welts and too much paint to imagine, she was rescued by HCWS.
Both dogs went into and graduated from the Pups on Parole Program and patiently waited for adoption, building bonds as friends and survivors.
